(BOP) - On Friday, July 9, the Bureau administered the 200,000th dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Since before the first dose was administered by agency staff on December 16, 2020, the Bureau has been committed to making the vaccine available to all staff and inmates wishing to receive it. Over 19,000 staff and more than 83,000 inmates have been fully vaccinated through the efforts of the Bureau, the Federal Government's COVID-19 Vaccine/Therapeutics Operation (formerly known as Operation Warp Speed) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
