(BOP) - The Federal Detention Center (FDC) SeaTac in Seattle, WA is seeking individuals interested in working for the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). This is an excellent opportunity to seek employment with the federal government and to have a meaningful career in public service with an agency that values a diverse workforce.

A hiring event, with special emphasis on Correctional Officers, is scheduled for April 12 and 13 from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at FDC SeaTac, 2425 S. 200th Street, Seattle, WA 98198. Interested applicants should bring a resume and two forms of valid government ID. Veterans should also bring a DD-214 and VA Disability Certificate, if applicable.

Please note: Federal regulations require BOP employees to be under 37 years old when hired. U.S. citizenship is required. Candidates are subject to a drug urinalysis, physical examination and background investigation. Additionally, those hired must successfully complete "Introduction to Correctional Techniques" in Glynco, Georgia.
