(BOP) - The United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners (USMCFP) in Springfield, MO has full-time openings for Physicians, Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatrists and Dentists interested in working with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). This is an excellent opportunity to seek employment with the federal government and to have a meaningful career in public service with an agency that values a diverse workforce. USMCFP Springfield provides medical and mental health care to approximately 1,100 inmate patients with specialty areas including a Nursing Care Center and one of the largest dialysis units in the nation, capable of handling up to 264 patients. USMCFP Springfield holds accreditations with the American Correctional Association (ACA), Joint Commission (JC), College of American Pathology (CAP), and the American Psychological Association (APA).
Please note: Federal regulations require BOP employees to be under 37 years old when hired. U.S. citizenship is required. Candidates are subject to a drug urinalysis, physical examination and background investigation. Additionally, those hired must successfully complete "Introduction to Correctional Techniques" in Glynco, Georgia.
