Director Inch Visits FCC Coleman

(BOP) - On January 10, 2018, Bureau of Prisons Director Mark S. Inch visited with hundreds of staff at the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) in Coleman, Florida. Director Inch, and members of the Agency's Executive Staff, toured FCC Coleman and the Director held a staff recall to provide valuable insights regarding the corrections profession and the role and responsibility of corrections professionals.

After the tour, which included visiting two housing units with specialized missions, Director Inch presented two staff members, Larry Avitia and Cody Washburn, with the Law Enforcement Congressional Badge of Bravery for their exceptional acts of courage in the line of duty during a 2015 incident at FCC Coleman.

Earlier in the week, Director Inch attended the American Correctional Association's (ACA) Winter Conference and the Association of State Correctional Administrators meeting. In conjunction with the ACA meetings, he also conducted the Bureau's quarterly Executive Staff meeting.
