The BOP has approved an extension through March 31, 2021, to the 10% recruitment incentive for 11 hard-to-fill federal prison locations. Individuals who have received firm offers of employment as Correctional Officers at one of these 11 locations on or before March 31, 2020, are eligible for the recruitment incentive. The 11 locations currently offering a 10% recruitment incentive for Correctional Officers are:

- FCC Florence, CO
- FMC Fort Worth, TX
- FCC Lompoc, CA
- FCC Petersburg, VA
- FCI Sandstone, MN
- FDC SeaTac, WA
- FCI Waseca, MN
- FCC Yazoo City, MS

All candidates are subject to a Core Value Assessment (70 minute test), urinalysis, physical examination, and background investigation. If hired, individuals must successfully complete the BOP's "Introduction to Correctional Techniques" residential training course and remain at the location where they were hired for a minimum of 24 months.
