Bureau of Prisons continues hiring nationwide

(BOP) - The Bureau of Prisons is actively hiring at 122 locations across the county. Since May of 2018, nearly 8000 selections have been made and for the past four months the average is more than 200 new hires each month. Additionally, the Bureau is offering a 10% recruitment incentive for 19 federal prison locations. Individuals who are hired, and on-board, as Correctional Officers at one these 19 locations before September 30, 2019 are eligible for the recruitment bonus. All candidates are subject to a drug urinalysis, physical examination, and background investigation. If hired, individuals must successfully complete the three-week residential course, "Introduction to Correctional Techniques," in Glynco, Georgia and remain at the location where they were hired for a minimum of 24 months.
