(BOP) - The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Big Spring, TX is seeking individuals interested in working with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). This is an excellent opportunity to seek employment with the federal government and to have a meaningful career in public service with an agency that values a diverse workforce.
A Career Fair, with special emphasis on Correctional Officers and a variety of medical,
food service and facilities positions, is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday,
May 1 & 2, from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the FCI Big Spring Camp Visitation Room,
1900 Simler Drive, Big Spring, Texas 79720. Interested applicants should bring a resume and
two forms of identification. Veterans should also bring a DD-214.
Please note: Federal regulations require BOP employees to be under 37 years old when hired. U.S. citizenship is required. Candidates are subject to a drug urinalysis, physical examination and background investigation. Additionally, those hired must successfully complete "Introduction to Correctional Techniques" in Glynco, Georgia.
