(BOP) - The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Waseca, MN is seeking individuals interested in working with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). This is an excellent opportunity to seek employment with the federal government and to have a meaningful career in public service with an agency that values a diverse workforce.
A Career Fair, with special emphasis on Correctional Officers, is scheduled for Wednesday, April 17 from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Waseca Public Library, 408 North State Street, Waseca, MN 56093. Interested applicants should bring a resume and valid government ID. Veterans should also bring a DD-214. FCI Waseca staff will be available for questions.
Please note: Federal regulations require BOP employees to be under 37 years old when hired. U.S. citizenship is also required. Candidates are subject to a drug urinalysis, physical examination and background investigation. Additionally, those hired must successfully complete "Introduction to Correctional Techniques" in Glynco, Georgia.
