(BOP) - From December 4 - 6, 2017, Bureau of Prisons Director Mark S. Inch visited with hundreds of staff in the Northeast Region. Accompanied by Northeast Regional Director Michael Carvajal, Director Inch toured the Northeast Regional Office in Philadelphia, PA, and held a staff recall at FDC Philadelphia. On Tuesday, the Director observed an Eastern District of Pennsylvania Reentry Court.
On Wednesday, the Director toured USP Lewisburg and USP Allenwood and observed the Special Management and Secure Mental Health Units as well as health services, food service, education, and recreation. While at Allenwood, Director Inch spoke at a staff recall where he provided valuable insights regarding the corrections profession and the role and responsibility of corrections professionals. Staff from USP Lewisburg participated in the recall via video conference.
