The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) released a Request for Proposal (RFP) PCC-0004, District of Columbia Sentenced Felon Requirement Phase II, on December 11, 1998. The RFP is for a Contractor-Owned and Contractor-Operated correctional facility for an estimated population of 1,200 low-security male District of Columbia sentenced felons. While the facility must be located within 300 miles of the District, extra consideration will not be given for locations closer to the District. Proposals are due to the FBOP at the end of January 1999.
