Eric Romero, Senior Officer
From an early age I was aware of the Bureau of Prisons' outstanding reputation and began taking steps to obtain a position with them. I earned my degree in Criminal Justice and soon after joined the Bureau as a Correctional Officer at FCI Tucson, Arizona.
I have already begun planning my career path by joining the mentoring program, where I am sure to gain valuable insight and assistance from seasoned BOP veterans. Already, it has made me much more aware of the opportunities available. I look forward to learning the "ins and outs" by being involved in this program.
My plans are to become and remain mobile and see the country as my career advances. I hope that my education and experience will someday provide me the opportunity to serve as Warden at one of the many institutions available.
